Treatment for pediatric TMJ

My 7 year old granddaughter is a pretty severe bruxer and has started to have headaches every day towards the end of the day. I don’t usually do splint therapy for pedo patients , but I’m trying to decide between splint therapy and building posteriors up with glass ionomer. I’m also wondering whether to just build up the primary posteriors to cause the permanent molars to erupt further. She doesn’t have maxillary centrals or laterals yet. Her masseters, temporalis are very tender.Any ideas or advice would be welcome. I’m seeing her tomorrow for the first time in a year or so as a patient. Thanks in advance!
